The Memorial Committee is responsible for receiving, recording, and administering memorial gifts and bequests, ensuring they are used according to donor wishes or church needs to support ministries.


Core Responsibilities


  • Fund Administration: receive, manage, and record all memorial, honorarium, and special monetary gifts.
  • Donor Recognition: send letters of acknowledgement and thanks to donors and inform families of gifts made in memory of their loved ones.
  • Recommending Expenditures: advise the Church Council or Trustees on how to use undesignated memorial funds, ensuring they enhance the church's mission and ministry.
  • Policy Management: maintain and update guidelines for the use of memorial funds.
  • Documentation: keep accurate records of all contributions and memorial transactions, often filing correspondence for historical purposes.
