The SPRC Committee acts as the personnel committee, serving as a liaison between the congregation and staff to support ministry, evaluate performance, and manage HR functions.


Core Responsibilities


  • Staff Support and Evaluation: conducts annual reviews for clergy and staff, provides support, and addresses ministry effectiveness and continuing education needs.
  • Personnel Administration: develops personnel policies, handles hiring, contracting, and dismissal of lay employees, and establishes compensation packages (salary, benefits, housing) in consultation with the pastor and Church Council.
  • Liaison Duties: fosters open communication between staff and the congregation, and consults with the District Superintendent regarding pastoral changes.
  • Strategic Planning: works to align staff roles with the church's mission and vision, often focusing on developing specific skills and competencies for positions.
